The Roosters started crowing in 1994 performing in clubs, street dances, fairs, city celebrations and country music festivals. Based out of Fargo, ND their first CD “Ready, Willing and Able” received extensive airplay on regional radio stations.

They recorded their second CD “Sorry about the Mess” in April of 2006 and it has received rave reviews. The title track reached #27 on Sirius satellite radios New top 40 and climbed as high as #16 on the Independent country charts across the USA.

In October of 2007, the Roosters were up for “Best new group/duo” at the New Music Weekly Awards in Hollywood, CA

The Roosters continue touring the upper Midwest entertaining crowds of all ages with their mix of country and variety from the past 4 decades and today

    Traditional, classic country music is alive and well! With their name taken from the 1971 Lefty Frizzell song, The Honky – Tonk Stardust Cowboys do indeed,” play the country tunes of bygone days”. The band is one of the very few in central Minnesota preforming traditional country music in the spirit and sound of the original recordings. Their song list includes classic hits from artists such as: Loretta Lynn, Rosanne Cash ,Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker and many more as well as a number of early rock and roll songs.

    By aligning their unwavering dedication to the “do it right” work ethic with a signature sound, Lead singer/bassist Richard Freeman, singer/guitarist Buck Rasmussen, drummer Peter Niblock, and singer/lead guitarist Peter Wilber have helped to define the landscape of today’s country-rock music scene. The backbone of their work? Stylistically eclectic songs—suggesting a range of influences from classic rock & country to today’s current country chart stompers.
